The ACLU of Virginia recently partnered with the Westmoreland County Sheriff's Department on development of use of force policy that is being viewed as one of the most progressive in the country. ACLU-VA Executive Director said the effort shows that it is possible for law enforcement to work collaboratively with the advocacy community. We invite other law enforcement agencies to work with us on policies for use of force, body-worn cameras, purchasing of surveillance equipment, and more.
