The ACLU of Virginia is honored to join Equality Virginia at its annual Day of Action.
With your support in 2019, Equality Virginia highlighted the importance of anti-discrimination bills during the General Assembly. With your help, all throughout the year, we have been sending in postcards written by you to tell the Speaker of the House that it is time to pass these important laws. In an historic election, you helped change the leadership of the House of Delegates. We can now capitalize on this, not only ensuring the defeat of any law that discriminates against LGBT Virginians, but also ensure that the House of Delegates passes the same protections that have passed the Senate every year since 2015.
The Day of Action is all about empowering LGBT and allied Virginians to create positive change, meet legislators and discuss bills important to the LGBT community, and attend workshops hosted by some of the area’s top attorneys and fellow activists.
